USA-Mexico Workshop on the Deepwater Physical Oceanography of the Gulf of Mexico June 26th – 28th, 2007 For nearly four decades, the MMS has sponsored innovative investigations of the Gulf of Mexico circulation that have advanced the state-of-the-art in support of its OCS mission. Pursuant to those mission needs, Minerals Management Service (MMS) is now convening an open workshop to plan field and modeling studies of the deepwater Physical Oceanography of the Gulf of Mexico basin. Recent observational and modeling results will be reviewed. Future needs and opportunities for coordination and collaboration between USA and Mexican field and modeling studies will be examined. Accordingly, USA and Mexican scientists are welcome to participate. Location and Accommodations: A block of rooms is being held for the “MMS USA-Mexico Workshop on the Deepwater Physical Oceanography of the Gulf of Mexico” participants at a rate of $109.00 per night, excluding taxes.
